I START MY NEW LIFE WITH NEW CHALLENGES
My name is Trišić Branislav, and I`m 45. I used drugs for almost 30 years.
When I was 15 I started using tranquilizers, then weed, ecstasy, and then cocaine. I successfully managed to hide the fact that I became deeply addicted. I was a functional addict until 2013. In the meantime, I got married and I got two children. After four years of marriage we divorced.
This is where my downfall began. I started lending money from money-lenders so I lost everything I had owned. I lost all my friends and made friends with drug dealers. Yet, my family didn`t give up on me. My brother`s insistence brought me to the Crossroads.
I began facing the reality. It was extremely hard because I left huge problems and my family behind. Counseling helped me get out of the situation. I learned how to overcome problems. Curriculum gave me a clear guidance for my future life goals and readiness for cooperation. On a daily basis, there were both little and big changes through all activities and processes. I believed in God before I came to the Crossroads, but only superficially. Through the Bible and Christian books, I was becoming more and more stable and was accepting God`s promises that it will be better and that God has a plan for my life. Then, it was the only thing that mattered. It was when I realized that I had lived in a delusion. My life is getting better now. I reconciled with my wife. I successfully finished the program and now I start my new life with new challenges.
